Overview
Incoloy 800 HT (High Temperature) is a variant of the Incoloy 800 alloy that is specially heat-treated to enhance its high-temperature strength and resistance to carbide precipitation. It is designed for use in extreme high-temperature environments where improved creep, stress rupture, and oxidation resistance are required.
Chemical Composition (Typical)
Nickel (Ni): 30.0 – 35.0%
Iron (Fe): Balance
Chromium (Cr): 19.0 – 23.0%
Carbon (C): 0.05 – 0.10% (higher than standard 800 for strength)
Manganese (Mn): ≤1.00%
Silicon (Si): ≤1.00%
Titanium (Ti): 0.15 – 0.60%
Aluminum (Al): 0.15 – 0.60%
Key Features
Improved High-Temperature Strength - better creep and stress rupture resistance compared to standard Incoloy 800.
Enhanced Carbide Precipitation Resistance - prevents grain boundary carbide formation that can cause embrittlement.
Excellent Oxidation and Corrosion Resistance at temperatures up to approximately 1100°C (2010°F).
Good Fabricability - can be formed, welded, and machined with proper procedures.
