Nickel 201 Alloy Grade

Nickel Alloy Ni-201, Commercially Pure Nickel

Both Ni 201 and Ni 200 go by the names Nickel Alloy Ni-201 and Commercially Pure Nickel, respectively. Ni 201 is the more common of the two. The sole thing that differentiates Ni 201 from Ni 200 is the carbon content, which can be no more than.02% in Ni 201 and no more than.15% in Ni 200. Because of this very small decrease in carbon content, Ni 201 can be used in higher temperature applications (above 600°F), such as the following:

  • Handling and manufacturing sodium hydroxide above 300°C

  • Soap manufacturing

  • Viscose Rayon manufacturing

  • Production of benzene, methane, and ethane

  • Reactors and vessels

Like Ni 200, Ni 201 offers a wide range of benefits to users including:

  • It can be hot formed in a almost unlimited number of shapes

  • Cold rolled under proper conditions

  • Highly resistant to various reducing chemicals

  • Outstanding resistance to caustic alkalis

  • Good electrical and magnetostrictive properties

  • High electrical and thermal conductivity

  • The toughness of nickel

Ni 201 is composed of roughly the same chemicals as Ni 200 except for the aforementioned difference in carbon content.

  • Ni 99% min

  • Fe .40% max

  • Mn .35% max

  • Si .35% max

  • Cu .25% max

  • C .02% max

Nickel Alloy Ni-201 and Commercially Pure Nickel are both products that are distributed by Sino Speical Metal. These products include Plate Flanges, Blind Flanges, Orifice Flanges, Lap Joint Flanges, Slip-On Flanges, Socket Weld Flanges, Threaded Flanges, Weld Neck Flanges, Spectacle Blinds, Paddle Blinds, Spacer Rings, and more. These products are designed to meet a variety Forgings, rings, shafts, discs, bleed rings, and other products can be customized by SSM and supplied according to the drawing. Mills that produce Ni 200 metal products meet or exceed the most demanding industry requirements, including those from ASTM, ASME, DIN, and ISO. These requirements are among the most stringent in the industry. These criteria are among the most stringent ones that exist elsewhere in the globe.
