904L Stainless Steel Strip / Coil

SSM supplies high-quality 904L stainless steel strips and coils manufactured in accordance with ASTM A240 / A480 standards. 904L (UNS N08904 / 1.4539) is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel designed for excellent resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and chloride environments. It offers superior corrosion resistance compared to 316L, along with good weldability and formability.

Finish: 2B, BA, No.4, HL, or custom surface finish

Material Overview

904L stainless steel is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel mainly composed of:

Nickel (Ni): 23–28%

Chromium (Cr): 19–23%

Molybdenum (Mo): 4–5%

Copper (Cu): 1–2%

Carbon (C): ≤ 0.02%

These elements provide 904L with excellent corrosion resistance, especially in environments containing sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and chlorides.
