Stainless Steel Alloy Zeron® 100, Super Duplex Stainless , Super Duplex
Zeron® 100, commonly known as Super Duplex Stainless and Super Duplex, is a highly alloyed stainless steel developed for use in harsh and corrosive conditions.
Due to its exceptional strength, Zeron 100 is referred to as a super duplex stainless steel. Zeron 100 was originally designed for applications requiring corrosion resistance to seawater in the North Sea. It is also ideal for use in other industries and applications. These consist of:
Oil and gas, Pulp and paper, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Mining, and Desalination are among Zeron 100's other excellent properties.
Resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting
Superior resistance to sulfuric acid at a variety of concentrations.
Resistance to fatigue corrosion
Minimum Yield Pressure of 80,000 psi
More economical than the majority of nickel-based alloys
Outstanding machinability
For an alloy of stainless steel to be marketed as Zeron 100, it must have a distinct chemical composition that comprises the following elements:
Cr 24-26%
Ni 6-8%
Mo 3-4%
Cu 0.5-1.0%
W 0.5-1.0%
Mn 1.0% max
Si 1.0% max
N 0.2-0.3%
SSM offers Zeron 100 in a variety of sizes and shapes, including sheet, strip, plate, pipe, and round bar. SSM's Zeron 100 complies with a variety of key industrial standards from organizations like as ASTM, UNS, MDS, and EN.
