Monel 400 Alloy Grade
Monel 400 Features:
Monel400 is a corrosion-resistant alloy with the largest amount, the most widely used and excellent comprehensive properties. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas medium, and also has excellent corrosion resistance in hot concentrated alkali solution. It is also resistant to corrosion by neutral solutions, water, seawater, atmosphere, organic compounds, etc. An important feature of this alloy is that it generally does not produce stress corrosion cracking and has good machinability.
Metallurgical structure of Monel 400:
The structure of Monel400 alloy is a single-phase solid solution with high strength.
Monel 400 Applications:
Monel 400 alloy is a versatile material with applications in many industrial fields:
1. Seamless water pipes and steam pipes in power plants;
2. Seawater exchangers and evaporators;
3. Sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid environment;
4. Crude oil distillation;
5. Pump shafts and propellers of equipment used in seawater;
6. The nuclear industry uses equipment for the manufacture of uranium refining and isotope separation;
7. Manufacture of pumps and valves for hydrochloric acid production equipment.
